Children - Infants through Grade 5
It is a privilege to be a part of the spiritual growth of the children and we thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to sing songs to the Lord, to teach them biblical truths, to discuss practical applications and to build relationships with each of them. ORCHARD wants to teach our children BIG truths they can grow in to, rather than little truths they grow out of.
ORCHARD offers the following Sunday School classes from 9 - 10 am.- Nursery for infants through age 4
- Class for children Pre K - grade 2
- Class for children grades 3-5
Children's Church meets during the worship service offering Bible-based lessons and activities. Children age 4 through grade 5 are dismissed to Children's Church after congregational singing and prayer. Classes are offered for age 4-grade 2 and grades 3-5. There is no Children's Church on the first Sunday of each month so that children can witness, or take part in communion at their parents' discretion. On these Sundays nursery care is extended to include 4 year olds.
Our curriculum focuses on the Bible as one story with Jesus at the center and covers key stories from Genesis to Revelation highlighting God's plan of redemption. Both classes explore the same Bible story, at an age appropriate learning level, and the material is presented in a way which helps children grow in their understanding of the Bible. It is our desire to have our young ones learn from the Bible and to develop a relationship with Jesus so that they may glorify God and enjoy Him forever. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
