Saturated - Sermon Series on 1 Corinthians

People are a lot like sponges. We tend to soak things up from the world around us. Then, when things get difficult whatever saturates us comes out in our lives.

The New Testament book of 1 Corinthians is a letter from the apostle Paul to a church in the city of Corinth which was a mess. The people of the church were arguing about who was more spiritual and they wanted Paul to tell them who was right and who was wrong.

Instead, Paul tells them they are so saturated with the priorities of their world that their church looks just like the world rather than looking like people who have been saved by Christ. What is so powerful about this letter from Paul to the Corinthians is how he uses each issue to point them to Christ rather than their own ways of thinking.

The only remedy to being saturated with the world is to be so saturated with the grace of God given to us through Jesus Christ that when we go through struggles it is not the ideas of the world that overflow in our lives, it is the gospel of God's grace!

Join us on this incredible study through the book of 1 Corinthians as we look at what it means to be people and a church fully saturated with the gospel of God's grace.
